Club Training

Offered for adults and children 1-6 sessions per week.

Our club training features expertly structured swimming sessions tailored to accommodate various age groups and proficiency levels. With 11 distinct squads meeting between one and six times weekly, we ensure each swimmer receives personalized attention and guidance. This focused approach allows us to effectively develop swimming techniques and help each member reach their full potential.

Our club training welcomes members from age 4 through adulthood, with each training group having specific entry requirements tailored to ensure safe and effective instruction. Placement in a particular group depends on various factors, including swimming proficiency, age-appropriate skill levels, and current group capacity. We’re always happy to assess new members and place them in the most suitable training group where they can develop their abilities alongside peers of similar capabilities.

All participants must bring appropriate swimwear, swimming goggles, a swimming cap, and a towel. Flip-flops or appropriate pool footwear are mandatory for pool safety and hygiene. Everyone is required to shower thoroughly before entering the pool, as per pool regulations. We recommend bringing a water bottle to stay hydrated during training. To ensure a smooth start to your session, please arrive at least 15 minutes early to complete these preparations.

Yes, there are membership fees associated with club training. These fees help support our facilities and coaching staff. For detailed information on pricing, please refer to our membership page.

To begin the registration process, please contact our department management at abteilungsleitung@schwimmen.tsverding.de. We’ll assess current group capacities and arrange an evaluation session (trial training) to determine the most appropriate training group for your skill level. This assessment helps us ensure each swimmer is placed in an environment where they can develop effectively and safely. After successful completion of the trial session and confirmation of available space, we’ll guide you through the formal registration process.

Competitions

Many of our schwimmgruppen are encouraged to compete

Our swimmers participate in various competitive events throughout the year. We organize internal competitions exclusively for all our club members, which serve as excellent preparation for larger events and help swimmers track their progress. For swimmers with registered DSV ID and license, we regularly attend external competitions hosted by other swimming clubs. As a club, we proudly host several competitions of our own, ranging from child-friendly events to prestigious two-day meets, with our flagship event being the Stadtwerke Erding Cup. We are also honored to host official championship events including District Championships, Upper Bavarian Championships, and Bavarian Championships, which are open to qualified swimmers with valid DSV ID and license. This variety of competition formats ensures appropriate competitive opportunities for swimmers at every level.

Participation in official swim meets requires membership in one of our competitive training squads along with a valid DSV ID and license. Our coaches regularly provide information about upcoming competitions suitable for each swimmer’s level and abilities. For your convenience, we maintain an up-to-date calendar of all swim meets our club will be attending on our website. This allows families to plan ahead and ensures everyone has access to the latest competition information.

Our competitive season runs throughout the year, with meets primarily scheduled on weekends. Each season’s competition calendar is carefully planned to provide appropriate racing opportunities across all levels. You’ll find our comprehensive competition schedule, including internal events, hosted meets, and external competitions, in our Swim Meets Calendar on the website. We regularly update this calendar to include registration deadlines, competition details, and any schedule changes, helping families plan effectively for upcoming events.

Our Masters group welcomes adult swimmers of all competitive inclinations. While some of our Masters swimmers actively participate in competitions, it’s not a requirement. The group is designed for both competitive athletes and strong swimmers who simply enjoy structured, challenging training sessions. For those seeking a more relaxed approach, our Breitensport adult group offers recreational swimming without competitive elements, focusing on fitness and enjoyment of the sport. This range of options allows each adult member to pursue their personal swimming goals, whether that’s competitive racing, maintaining high-level fitness through quality training, or enjoying swimming at a more leisurely pace.

Due to venue capacity and safety regulations, spectator access at indoor swimming competitions must be limited. Child-friendly meets allow one to two parents per young swimmer, while other indoor competitions have restricted spectator access to ensure efficient event management. Outdoor competitions typically offer more opportunities for family and friends to attend and support our swimmers. Each competition has its own specific regulations regarding spectators, which are detailed in the meet information packet (Ausschreibung). We recommend carefully reviewing these documents for exact spectator guidelines for each event. These protocols help us maintain professional, well-organized events that prioritize swimmer safety and performance.

Social Events

Even out of the pool we get together

Throughout the year, our club organizes various social gatherings that strengthen our swimming community. These events range from seasonal celebrations to team-building activities, designed to bring together swimmers of all ages, their families, and our coaching staff. These occasions provide valuable opportunities to build relationships beyond the pool, celebrate achievements, and enhance our club’s collaborative spirit. We encourage all members to participate in these community-building events.

We organize regular social gatherings throughout the year, with events typically scheduled to complement our swimming calendar. Special occasions, seasonal celebrations, and club milestones may prompt additional gatherings. All upcoming social events are listed in our club calendar, allowing members to plan ahead and participate in these valuable community activities. We encourage members to check our website regularly for the latest event announcements and details.

Attendance eligibility varies by event and is open to all active members of TSV Erding 1862 e.V. Swimming Department. While some gatherings are designed specifically for our swimmers, others welcome family members to join in the celebrations. Event announcements will always clearly specify who is invited to attend each particular occasion, ensuring everyone understands participation guidelines.

RSVPs are required for all social events to ensure proper planning and organization. As a member, you can easily register for events through our online calendar system, indicating attendance for yourself and, when applicable, your family members. This advance registration helps us plan effectively for catering, venue capacity, and activity arrangements. We appreciate your cooperation in responding to event invitations by the specified deadlines.
